Question by jayteemoney: how do I find out which version android my phone is using?
I’m trying to test out my flash app on my android phone and in my application & installer settings window there’s a text field that says version and inside it reads 1.0.0 do I need to change that to the right version number in order to test my app on my android phone?

Best answer:

Answer by Infoon
See , you develop an application for a SPECIFIC Android OS Version , say 2.2 (Froyo) ok.
Then you can run the app only on that Android Version and not any other.
1.0.0 means Android Eclair , which is pretty old now.
If your phone is not upgradable to the Version of Android that your app needs , you shall have to either buy a new one or flash a Rom.
P.S.If you’re gonna flash a Rom , be careful as it may void the warranty of your phone.
Good Luck!!

Question by Nick: How can I embed a webpage into my iOS app without using UIWebview?
How can I embed a webpage into my iOS app without using UIWebview? I’m using MobiOne as my software. I want to be able to have a toolbar on the page while users are able to view the website so I don’t want to just have a URL attached to a button.
If there is a way I could do it with HTML, that’d be great. I want the page to also be auto-updating in case I edit the page on the website.

Event on 2013-03-29 11:00:00

Have you ever wanted to build your own app?  Wouldn’t a published app in an app store look good on your resume?Â

Join Jennifer Marsman of Microsoft to walk through Windows 8 development for the Windows Store using Visual Studio.  Microsoft also provides the ability for students to publish apps to the Windows 8 store for free! Â

What will you need to bring?  Ideally, bring your own Windows 8 laptop with Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8 (download from http://aka.ms/JenVS2012).  Otherwise, we will set up a Windows 8 dev environment in the cloud using a free trial of Windows Azure.

What will you get out of it?
•  You’ll get an opportunity to win cash (0/app) prizes
•  You’ll learn to build your very own Windows 8 app using Visual Studio 2012
•  You’ll be able to publish your app(s) to the Windows Store (for free)
•  You’ll bolster your resume as an app creator, build your personal brand, and you can earn money (or fame) if your app does well in the marketplaceÂ

Question by jessicab0414: How do I answer a call on a samsung galaxy S using the button on my headset?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S phone and need to be able to use the phone hands free, but I still have to push a button on the headset to answer an incoming call. I have been through the menus on my phone and can’t figure out how to change the “answer call” settings. Any tips?

Best answer:

Answer by Muhammad
You have to go to call settings turn off automatic answering for incomming calls which picks up automatically within 2-5 seconds then i believe if your bluetooth device is compatible it will be able to pick up call from that button
And yes there are some blutooth which has call button which will not work with some phones

Question by Kiky: How can i see what iOS im currently using?
How can i see what iOS im currently using?
If i install new OS, would it remove my apps/songs/vid on my ipad?

Best answer:

Answer by Preston Stanley
To see what iOS you are using go to settings > about. Then you can scroll through and it will give you the version you are currently running. (ex. 3.0.1)

Updating to a newer version won’t remove any information from your device. However, restoring your device will remove all information, but most will be automatically put back onto the device when the restore is complete.

This is based off of my 2nd generation iPod touch, but it shouldn’t be any different for an iPad
