Question by angelhair: Has anyone tried to download “windows Internet explorer 7?” How long did it take?
It has been running all day and I can’t shut it down.

If you are on broadband service, it takes about 10 minutes.

Yours sounds hung, or that it is waiting on something from you. Are you certain there isn’t a dialog box open in the background waiting on you to click OK? (Try pressing ALT and TAB to cycle through all open windows to check).

If it’s not waiting on you, your going to have to restart the pc, and try again. If it was hung during the download, you should be able to do this. If it was hung during the installation, you may have problems. If so, post a new question so you can be helped.

ME PERSONALLY I DON’T LIKE ALL THE ANIMATION SO I DISABLED THEMES TO GET THAT OLD WINDOWS LOOK AND IT’S MUCH FASTER AS WELL WITHOUT THE NEW LOOK. BUT I WAS WONDERING COULD I DELETE “THEMES” SINCE I DON’T USE THEMES AT ALL BEING THAT I HAVE IT “DISABLED” BY DELETING IT USING “SC DELETE THEMES” IN COMMAND PROMPT BUT THE MAJOR THING IS I’M WONDERING DELETING IT WOULD MESS EVERYTHING UP.

I tried, the live iso kept failing to burn? like it’s an incomplete download…?.. I also know that it’s an online apps base, meaning that everything, spread sheets, docs, ect..are driven to online, not bad, google rules, BUT..when it comes to doing something, you have to refresh a page to save, or if you make a change to a doc or file online you refresh then save, wireless sucks at refresh, and so blah blah I think you know where this is going…
