Nucleus Footwear of San Diego, America’s first specialty Freestyle Footbag shoe brand, celebrates their 4th Birthday this week, an especially important milestone for a small, independent athletic shoe company who’s been able to survive amongst the giants,” says Winnie Peng of Shoe-Manufacturer.com.

Peng continues:

“Creating the Nucleus Footwear signature design began in 2008 and took over a year to develop because at each stage of the design transformation Nucleus founder, Queency Mateo, would have the shoe examined by different elite members of the international Freestyle Footbag community to get their feedback and suggestions for possible improvements.

Special attention was given to the exact size, shape and materials of the striking area of the shoe, not only to ensure the largest possible strike area, but for the greatest possible sensitivity as well.

Months of research went into developing the best balance of traction and spinning ability. The outsole pattern we finally chose was so effective, in fact, we also used it in the athletic shoes produced for the Australian naval cadets.

The final product is a great looking shoe with the best performance characteristics of any Freestyle Footbag shoe in the world.

Queency Mateo is to be congratulated on this 4th Birthday for combining her love of the sport with the dedication to produce the very best. The Nucleus Footwear Freestyle Footbag shoe is a real tribute to her and the elite players of the sport who contributed to its design.

The rebates browser add-on development experts at Besttoolbars have revealed the results of their latest study. The firm has been investigating if rebates companies can make more from their plugins by analyzing user behavior patterns and assessing data from client projects. Its most recent findings show that rebates companies are able to increase their revenue simply by adding a price comparison feature to their browser add-ons.

The rebates browser add-on development team at Besttoolbars reached this conclusion after careful consideration of the online shopping process. They theorized that when a user shops online with a rebates add-on already installed on their PC, the user goes to their preferred merchants website, views product categories and then individual product pages. When the user opens a products page, the plug-in detects that a product has been viewed and shows similar products to the user, available from other shops at lower prices.

With a price comparison feature, it is possible to highlight the products that are offered by affiliate merchants with a rebates option. The benefit for the user is that they save money, while for the rebates company, users are motivated to shop through the rebates affiliate partners, thereby generating more revenue.

Valery Kuznetsov, Key Projects Manager at Besttoolbars said, We had suspected that there were additional ways for rebates companies to monetize their browser add-ons and through a series of experiments and test runs, we reached the conclusion that a price comparison feature was simple yet effective. It is very easy to add price comparison functionality when developing the add-on originally and once created, it will proactively generate extra funds for the rebates company for as long as the user is actively using the add-on. The comparison functionality adds an extra layer of usefulness for the shopper so it can also be said that as well as making money, this addition will actually improve the user experience.

The findings of this study are just one in a flurry of recent breakthroughs that the Besttoolbars team has made in this area. They also recently discovered that many online rebates companies were also losing revenue by not blocking out other third party add-ons.

UpgradeUSA, a leading online company focused on helping people build credit through laptop payment plans, announced today the availability of its services to the clients of mortgage lenders. Many of these consumers may be looking to purchase a home this spring, but lack the required credit history to do so.

UpgradeUSA reports each customers laptop payment to all three credit bureaus, every month, which helps customers build a history of making payments over time.

When shopping for a home, people should take their credit history very seriously, said Jon Weisblatt, Founder & CEO of UpgradeUSA. The best way to demonstrate commitment to potential lenders is to have a consistent on-time payment history, and have those payments reported to all three bureaus. Thats one of the benefits we offer at UpgradeUSA, and thats one big reason why customers love doing business with us.

According to reports from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the average FICO composite score for FHA loan recipients in fiscal year 2012, for single-family homes, was 697.

Whether purchasing a home for the first time or refinancing an existing mortgage, having a good credit history is necessary to qualify for reasonable mortgage rates. The FHA, while not a mortgage lender themselves, provides the opportunity for many U.S. individuals and families to achieve ownership of a home through the FHA mortgage insurance program. The FHA requires a minimum of two active trade lines on a credit report, and individual lenders have their own requirements.

The UpgradeUSA program offers some important benefits for consumers interested in building credit before purchasing a home:

Besttoolbars, a company well known for its cash back browser plug-in development, has announced a new solution developed specifically for online advertising companies. It has discovered the potential for online ad networks to increase their audience coverage and develop stronger revenue opportunities via browser add-on development.

Valery Kuznetsov, Key Projects Manager at Besttoolbars said, Besttoolbars research revealed that by developing a browser plug in, online ad networks could deliver their ads to end users efficiently and effectively. The plug in provides an extra channel through which adverts can be delivered to the end user, helping to increase the total audience share.

Browser add-ons allow a smooth integration with the end users browsing experience and can be developed to deliver network ads when it is convenient for the user to see them. Targeting functionality can be built in, helping to increase click through rates on adverts. Whats more, the creation of a browser add-on was also found to provide valuable user behavior study opportunities as the add-on allows the ad network to monitor each users browsing behavior and patterns. This can be filtered through for more accurate and strategic advert targeting, again helping to promote higher click through rates.

Since browser add-ons are not tied to any particular site and can display ads at any moment, users can see ads even when theyre not browsing a site that is within the plug-in developers display network. This extends the reach of the ads and ensures that they perform as well as possible.

Browser add-on development is easy with Besttoolbars Browser Add-On Framework. The Framework creates add-ons for all major browsers using just one set of code, all written in standard languages such as HTML JavaScript and CSS. By writing one piece of code that works across each of the five main browsers (Safari, Chrome, Explorer, Opera and Firefox) development time is dramatically reduced, helping to keep costs low. When changes are needed, it is made once and applied to all browsers simultaneously.

Browser add-ons developed using the Besttoolbars Browser Add-On Framework are feature rich, and can include such functionality as cross-browser API, cross-domain requests, content scripts, background scripts, auto-update, browser buttons, badges and pop-ups.

Besttoolbars has revealed a brand new means of increasing the effectiveness of its cash back browser add-on development services. The development companys Custom Browser Tool now allows custom browsers to prohibit the installation of third party extensions. This added functionality comes after frequent requests from online cash back companies who wanted a way to disable third party extensions which frequently overwrote their own cash back affiliate links.

Valery Kuznetsov, Key Projects Manager at Besttoolbars said, Disabling third party extensions that steal your affiliate links is a very time consuming task, because all extensions have the same rights in the browser and every extension has its own peculiarities. This means that each one must be dealt with individually, racking up hours of development time. Besttoolbars Custom Browser Tool allows clients to make their own custom browser based on open source Chromium browser software.

The custom browser has the clients own Chrome extension embedded and prohibits installation of any other third party extensions. This means the cash back companys clients using their custom browser can only click on cash back affiliate links. In this way, the Customer Browser Tool is able to guarantee that the cash back link will not be disabled by any third party browser add-on.

The Besttoolbars cash back browser development team revealed earlier this month the results of a study into revenue streams and efficiencies of cash back add-ons. It showed that affiliate links were being displaced at the moment of purchase by other browser extensions which the shopper may be running simultaneously on their machine. The result was that the cash back company lost significant amounts of revenue to rival add-ons at the time of payment, with their own original link replaced by third party add-ons.

The ability to prohibit such extensions via the Custom Browser Tool represents a significant advantage for cash back companies struggling to monetize their add-ons. By safeguarding links from competitor affiliate replacement, it effectively increases revenue potential, making for a more profitable online cash back shopper relationship.

Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) April 02, 2013

A study by the browser development agency found that updates to major browsers are released very often. The typical frequency is approximately one new browser version per two months. It also found that there is a tendency for the new releases of browsers to become more frequent over time. For example, the study showed that 2 years ago a new browser version was released just once every 6 months on average. Today, new versions of popular browsers such as Chrome are released every 6 weeks. The net result is an extra development and tech burden for cash back companies that monetize through browser add-ons. With each browser update, the cash back company is forced back to the drawing board to make changes to their add-on to ensure it remains compliant with the most current browser version and its specific requirements.

New browser versions do not just sport technical changes but often also bring new security policies, license agreements and usage restrictions into play. More and more companies that monetize through browser add-ons feel an increased burden to keep up with the most recent browser requirements, forcing their own development schedule to remain in sync, even if this requires more coding time and developer man hours at an increased cost.

In researching alternatives to this process in order to become more time and budget efficient, Besttoolbars concluded that cash back browser add-on development can become more streamlined with a bespoke browser. Valery Kuznetsov, Key Projects Manager said, We have recognized that having your own browser with all your required plug-ins removes the burden of managing all issues arising from frequent new versions of popular browsers. Having your own browser allows you to control updates which means you dont need to release them more frequently than required by your business model.

The Besttoolbars Custom Browser Tool is designed as the perfect solution for cash back browser add-on development without the burden of browser updates. It allows cash back companies to quickly build their own browser based on an open source Chromium browser. The custom browser can offer the companys own add-ons and custom branding. It is also possible to restrict installation of any 3rd party add-ons to the browser so that cash back affiliate links are not spoiled by 3rd party browser add-ons. This means the browser owner always gets its revenue from the cash back and is released from the burden of keeping up with major updates to popular browsers such as Internet Explorer or Chrome.

A new study by Besttoolbars in to the effectiveness of online charity cash back companies has revealed a dynamic new way that such organizations can increase their revenues. While monitoring the use of its cash back browser add-on development services, Besttoolbars found that the simple addition of a price comparison feature can lead to greater revenue streams. The price comparison feature can be added to the charitys cash back browser add-ons at the development stage.

In the course of the Besttoolbars study, it was able to determine a cycle of typical user activity. It identified that the typical charity cash back add-on usage began with any internet user about to make an online purchase. As they were shopping online, it found that the addition of a price comparison feature made a purchase much more likely. In this scenario, the add-on would run on the users computer or tablet, they would visit an online retailer and navigate to their desired product page. Upon opening the product page, the plug in detects that a product is being viewed and shows similar products (or the same product in some cases), available from other retailers online at a lower price.

With a charity cash back browser add-on developed with a price comparison feature, Besttoolbars identified that at this stage, it was possible to highlight products offered by affiliate merchants. This made it very clear which retailers offered cash back benefits to the charity. This very simple addition ensured that the user could easily make a purchase safe in the knowledge that a portion of their purchase price would be sent to the selected charity at the same time.

Besttoolbars determined that the benefit for the charity is that users become more motivated to shop through cash back affiliate partners, therefore helping to actively generate more revenue for the charity in question than a plug-in alone.

Valery Kuznetsov Key Projects Manager, Our cash back browser add-on development team is always looking for new ways to make our service more effective for clients. We were pleased to be able to prove that the simple addition of a price comparison feature could lead to such a positive results for online charity cash back companies. Were constantly studying user behavior patterns and plug in usage to provide even greater value for clients and look forward to publishing further findings in this area shortly.

Question by Alex: How do android developers obtain information to put into their apps?
If an android developer were to create a GPS system or a Weather App, how do they get the information fed into the application? Obviously i wouldn’t have my own sattelite or weather station so how do i put information into the application?

Best answer:

Answer by yuckybear
For GPS you’d use the Android core libraries, like this class: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/location/LocationManager.html

For a weather app you’d use some weather API, the most obvious probably being the Google Weather API, but you could really use any one you want. http://blog.programmableweb.com/2010/02/08/googles-secret-weather-api/
