Free Lunchinar! “Which Tablet is Best for YOUR Business?”
Event on 2013-05-15 11:30:00

We’ve heard of all of them:  iPads, Droids, and now Windows tablets.  But which one is best for your business?  Which has the best features?  Which one is the easiest to support?

How to decide?  Let Simplex-IT be your guide!  We’ll be taking each major tablet line (iPad, Droid, Windows and Windows RT) through the paces.  We’ll show how each tablet can (or can’t) accomplish what today’s business user needs to be able to do.

We’ll also talk about some of the unseen features…security, backups and support options.

Tablets give you lots of choices.  Let Simplex-IT help you make the right one!

As always, there will be plenty of time for questions.

Simplex-IT’s popular monthly Lunchinars are always free, open to all and focused on sharing information. And, as a bonus, we will be awarding a door prize of Microsoft Office 2013 and Windows 8 to two lucky attendees. Free food AND free software – how awesome is that?

Question by S: is there a tablet that has a mutli task function like in the Samsung Galaxy s3?
The Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 is the only one I know where you can play a movie end run something else whilst the movie is playing in the background.

Is there another tablet that can do that besides the Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy s3?

The free video player “Dice Player” has a Pop-Up feature that does exactly that. So any Android tablet can do it.

Winmate M700D rugged 7 inch Windows 7 tablet on the way

When will Microsoft pull the plug on your version of Windows or Office?
For Windows 7, you can do the math yourself. The GA date for all Windows 7 editions was October 22, 2009. Five years after that date is October 22, 2014. The next calendar quarter begins in January, 2015, and the second Tuesday of that month is January …

Question by Sadie: How much could I get for a slightly used Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet?
I just got a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet 25 days ago and I wanted to return it but the place I got it from has a 15 day return policy. I have a $ 200.00 offer for it and I was wondering if this was reasonable. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the tablet (no glitches, scratches, etc.) and otherwise in perfect condition. I am getting rid of it because something came up and I needed the money. Thank you in advance.

Depending on the current price of Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet, $ 200 is cheap, but it could be reasonable for the buyer too, since you have slightly used it. Amazon sells at $ 349.99, Walmart, $ 279, and other stores, at Amazon’s price. However, its quality (new with no glitches , or etc.) warrants a better price than $ 200.00.

I suggest you talk the buyer into adding some more; for if he/she gives say, $ 250.00, it will still be at his/her advantage. ;)

I will sell this device at a higher price than you have.

Question by Oh: Is it damaging to leave my samsung tablet on sleep all the time?
I have a samsung galaxy tablet and I leave it on sleep on the time rather than a full shutdown. Just wondering, would this damage the tablet? I leave it on sleep like for a week without completely shutting it at times. Thanks.
I have the 10.1. I just want to make sure I’m not damaging it by putting it on sleep for long intervals. Thanks.

If it could damage the tablet they wouldn’t of put it in there… its fine… I never shut down my computer either, and its doing just fine.

A 7″ Tablet Won't Save Microsoft's Surface
Of course, this doesn't resolve some other key issues with Microsoft's bigger Surface, such as the fact that a desktop mode still exists or that, despite having 50,000 now, the app selection still feels dire. It's 2013, we shouldn't be feeling the …
