Firewheel Design is pleased to announce launch of Blinksale, the easiest way to send invoices online. Blinksale, a Web-based application, allows its subscribers to create, send, and manage invoices anywhere with an Internet connection.

Specifically created for small businesses, independent contractors, and freelancers, Blinksale makes it a breeze to quickly create an invoice for a client, then send that invoice via email. Open, closed, and past-due invoices can then be tracked and managed with Blinksale’s simple interface.

“For many people, especially freelancers and independent contractors, the off-the-shelf financial software found at retail stores is too complicated or expensive,” notes Josh Williams, Firewheel Design’s Founding Principal. “Our own frustration with the current offering of invoicing software is what led us to build Blinksale. We were tired of using difficult, pricey software to create ugly invoices. So we created something different. It’s fast, efficient, and extremely easy to use.”

Because Blinksale is a “hosted” web-application, subscribers can choose to manage their invoices from any location with an internet connection. Persons using Apple’s Mac OS X operating system can even synchronize their invoices with Apple’s iCal application.

“Larger companies with complex accounting needs will probably find Blinksale to be a bit too simplistic. But that’s okay with us. Simplicity has been our goal since day one, and we believe this simplicity is what a lot of people are looking for today,” says Williams.

Currently, Blinksale features a variety of professionally-designed invoice templates, supports five different currencies, and allows multiple workers from a single organization to use the same account.

Subscriptions to Blinksale start at $ 6 per month, which includes up to 20 invoices. Additionally, $ 12 per month and $ 24 per month subscriptions can be purchased allowing the subscriber to create 100 or 500 invoices respectively. A free account that allows users to create 2 invoices per month is also available. There is a 30-day free trial period on all subscriptions.
