What Does the MacKeeper Bundle Do

It is a file maintenance suite. It is a little like a Mac cleaner, except for that it has more uses. Its aim is to make your Mac secure, reliable, maintain its speed and clean its files. It comprises of a bunch of system utilities that perform different routine tasks to maintain your Mac. It has a good customer support network and aims to combine many apps into one.

Often people will have a Mac app to secure their Mac, and another to clean files, etc. The 911 bundle is a suite programs, offering you all these services under one program, instead of having loads of apps doing various tasks.

What Are Its Features

It has a unique protection system that blocks out all identity theft and phishing attempts. Its antivirus software helps to stop online viruses and installed viruses from attacking and harming your Mac.

It has a cleaning program that will get rid of old, un-used and unnecessary files from your Mac, whilst leaving your important and needed files intact. If your Mac is stolen or lost, then the MacKeeper bundle will help you find it.

The 911 bundle has optimizing software to help keep your Mac up to speed and they have data control tools to help get your Mac back up to speed by keeping files secured and well organized. They have a very good technical support staff that may be contacted by phone or online live chat, 24 hours, seven days per week.

Is It A Cause For Applause

It does save the time and trouble of downloading separate apps for separate functions on the Mac. The program works, and does do as it says on the adverts. The customer service is very good and comprehensive, so that you will not find a problem that they do not have a solution to. They also take your phone calls on other Mac related issues, and not just for the software you are calling about. They reply to emails within 24 hours.

The Geek-on-demand feature has a large collection of service based tools which are very impressive. It does have functions and uses that some people won’t even know they need/want until they see it on this tools suite. The price is very good too.

Not So Good Points

It is pretty good, despite a few bugs here and there, however it is being updated all the time as they continue to work on them. Some bugs cause apps to not update correctly. On some peoples Macs, the uninstaller will miss a few things so you will need to uninstall them manually. This is another bug they are working on.

What We Thought Of The App We Bought

There is a debate as to whether the regular maintenance of a Mac is necessary or not, so the idea of yet another file maintenance we not a crowd pleaser. MacKeeper has gotten around this by being an all in one suite of file maintenance tools. The price is good, however some of the add-ons are a little pricey, and the antitheft side has monthly billing options which can really add up.

Should I Try OR Let It Slip By

For the price it is very good. If you bought the apps for each function of the suite on their own, then it would cost a lot, lot more. It is slightly buggy at the moment, but is constantly being updated and improved. The customer service is noticeably better than many, many other companies. Well worth to buy the MacKeeper Suite.

Best answer:

Answer by boboafet555
Yes you are sort of done you still need to update all of your drivers and run stress tests to make sure everything is running properly. I windows 7 claims to update your drivers automatically but i would install the disk just in case and up date the files.

Question by Curtis: My Windows 7 computer keeps restarting on its own after “Starting Windows 7″, even on Safe Mode?
After I did a scan on Microsoft Security Essentials, it wanted me to restart my computer and I did. After that, it suddenly restarts over and over again for no reason. I tried going on Safe Mode but the same thing happened. I even tried to use startup repair and it wouldn’t load at all, all it said was “Windows is loading Windows files”. Can anybody help me with this?
I’ve also tried “last known configuration” and it still restarts.

Safe Surfing Tool Web of Trust Sued over Community Warnings

Web of Trust

Helsinki, Finland (Vocus/PRWEB) February 24, 2011

Ten Internet companies based in Florida have filed a lawsuit against WOT Services, the provider of safe surfing tool Web of Trust. The companies are requesting WOT to remove ratings and comments related to them and have accused WOT of defamation, violating rights, conspiracy and manipulating algorithms. WOT believes the case is baseless and has suggested dismissing the case in the court of justice in Florida.

According to court documents, the companies bringing up the case are Career Network, also known as Three Stars Media, Three Stars, Internetcompany, Internet-Company of Central Florida, Medialogic, Power Applications, MonkeyJar and Buzzgrub; headed by Mr. Ayman Difrawi, also known as Alec Difrawi, Michael Difrawi, Alec Defrawy, Michael Jensen, David Mellon, Alan Madison, David Katz, Alec Simon, Alexander Simon.

As well as bringing suit against the founders and CEO of WOT, WOT community members “John and Jane Does 1-100” are named in the document for alleged malicious, willful and intentional defamation. WOT hosts a site forum, which allows members to post comments and discuss website ratings, security and online safety. The WOT forum was used to discuss reports that Difrawi’s websites are “phishing” scams, whereby the websites attempt to acquire sensitive personal information by pretending to be a trustworthy entity. Difrawi’s lawsuit contends that all defamatory postings are based on these forum comments and wants WOT to remove all postings related to Career Network and collect damages.

If the case goes to court, WOT’s advocacy will be based on the Communications Decency Act (article CDA 230), legislated in 1996 for similar cases. The article protects Internet service providers from liabilities related to content created by third parties.

“These are important issues we’re dealing with,” states Vesa Perälä, the CEO of WOT. “The Communications Decency Act was created to protect freedom of speech, cultural, religious and political diversity, and trade on the web. The Internet has become one of the central battlefields of the liberty of speech and there are a lot of disagreements about what can and cannot be said or done online. Now and in the future we will rely on freedom of speech, transparency and objectivity when offering our users a channel to express their views freely, thus making the web safer for all.”

Using WOT, millions of web users from around the world rate websites according to their experiences, also exposing suspected rogue websites. WOT users have pinned down more than five million untrustworthy websites.

“Our users have rated more than 31 million websites. It is understandable that we encounter unhappy site owners whose websites have poor reputations. We know this man in question and his reputation quite well. We are not the first company he has brought to court,” says Vesa Perälä.

The WOT community consists of millions of web users that detect and report alleged scam sites effectively and quickly. WOT reputation ratings are updated every 30 minutes, thus spreading the word and shortening the life cycle of scam sites significantly. Consequently, those owning websites meant to cheat people have to invest more money for new domains, sites and services.

“WOT brings transparency to the web and makes it more difficult for scam sites to operate. Usually the motivation behind these law cases is fear of losing income. However, it’s better for the scammers to lose money instead of our users being scammed,” says Vesa Perälä.

Question by Caffelatte: Is the Eyeball (it says Privacy Report) on the bottom of the Internet Explorer a safe tool?
Is it a good thing or bad thing to have the eyeball on the bottom of the Internet Explorer?
When I put the mouse on the eyeball, it says Privacy Report..
My question is,
is it a good (or safe) thing?

Best answer:

Answer by Y@h00!
“A Web site’s privacy policy tells you what kind of information the Web site collects, to whom it gives that information, and how it uses the information. The privacy policies of many Web sites conform to the standards set by the Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P). A compact privacy policy refers to one that complies with P3P standards.

If a Web site has a P3P policy, Internet Explorer [6-8] can display a summary of the policy for you to review. It can also compare the Web site’s privacy policy with your privacy settings (which tell Internet Explorer [6-8] how to handle cookies). Based on its comparison, Internet Explorer 6 can decide whether or not to allow the Web site to block cookies coming from sites with privacy policies that do not match your privacy settings.”

Hacking RFID is child’s play, RFID implants linked to cancer, Whats ahead? These are various RFID related clips I put together with some titles to help educate others about the health hazards and dangers to our liberty imposed by RFID “chipping” and tracking of every single individual item based on unique serial number. (Unlike UPC which has a universal number per PRODUCT not per unique purchase) and then the obvious dangers to your personal information by any 14 year old hacker kid. Identity theft without so much as SEEING the card you steal electronically from a distance. Hard to fit it all in 10 minutes, so there is LOTS of material I couldnt fit… I think I may make a second video to continue into where implants are being used, and how the public is embracing it, the national ID card etc. Please leave comments if you like it! movie.diginfo.tv DigInfo News In an effort to raise health awareness, docomo, in conjunction with mitsubishi electric, have developed a prototype wellness mobile phone designed to monitor a persons health, which can be used in applications ranging from fitness management to dietary control. After entering a range of personal data such as height, weight and age, and by using two electrodes on either end of the phone, users can measure their body fat ratio which is then displayed as a percentage accompanied with an encouraging message. An infrared sensor located on the top of the handset is used to measure the users pulse, and a gas sensor at the base of the phone can be used to measure breath odor. The phone also includes a pedometer and workout monitor which can sense when the user is walking, running or going up or down stairs and accurately calculate the users energy consumption. Docomo has not yet set a date for the commercialization of this technology.
