Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) June 01, 2011

For many years, Apple customers have enjoyed an online environment that was relatively malware-free. Coupled with the desgin and halo-effect of its popular iDevices, this has resulted in the phenomenal growth and adoption of Mac OS X and iMacs by both consumers and businesses globally.

This unique selling proposition, together with the growth and potential customer security complacency, has opened the doors for nefarious criminal groups to target the Apple Mac user as an easy and largely unprotected target especially from socially-engineered attacks.

TrustDefender Labs has seen an increase in activity on the Apple Mac malware front, as reported in the TrustDefender Labs in-depth report of April 2011. During the same period, Apple was also forced to acknowledge the latest wave of high profile threats, including MacDefender, MacSecurity, MacProtector and MacGuard (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4650), further attesting to the fact that the Apple Mac user base was now compelling enough for the bad guys to target in their money-making criminal activities.

Today, TrustDefender launches the public beta phase of TrustDefender Pro for Mac (TDpro for Mac) for home users, executives, corporations and small to medium businesses, all of whom are facing a growing level of online transactional security threats. TDpro for Mac provides the same level of transactional security that people around the world have experienced with TrustDefender Pro for Windows.

TDpro for Mac is not a replacement for existing Internet Security software, but rather complements existing tools to provide a true transactional security solution that secures Mac users when they transact or bank online.

TDpro for Mac is fully integrated with the TrustDefender Central Intelligence Server and will take advantage of all existing TrustDefender-provided policies for the many financial institutions and enterprises that have deployed TrustDefenders integrated security and fraud risk management solutions around the world.

For financial institutions, government agencies or any enterprise who have already implemented the TrustDefender integrated security and fraud risk management suite, this means that with the flick of a switch, all of their Apple Mac users are now protected. It also means that enterprises get a much broader view of their global customer and end user base profile within the Central Intelligence Server, providing a more comprehensive insight in to their security risk landscape and exposure to risk.

Unfortunately malware writers never sleep and they always target the low hanging fruit. It seems that the Apple Mac platform is now big enough to attract major criminals. We have seen the same level of development on the Windows platform over the past few years and we expect more transactional trojans for Apple Macs in the near future, comments Andreas Baumhof, CTO of TrustDefender. The bad guys already have extensive configuration files to perform very sophisticated and targeted attacks against internet banking, payment gateway, eCommerce and government sites. It is a natural extension to enable these capabilities on the Apple platform as well.

We are proud to release our first major Apple Mac version, providing a practical means for Enterprises to proactively mitigate their risk exposure. This is part of our strategy of delivering cross-platform solutions to combat the ever-growing threat of cybercrime., concludes Andreas Baumhof, CTO of TrustDefender.

More information on the TrustDefender Pro for Mac version including details how to participate in the beta testing can be found here: [http://www.trustdefender.com/go/macbeta.php

Question by Dumb Eve: Isn’t there ANY WAY AT ALL that I could find a high paying keyword list for Google Adsense for free?
I know they are little “trade secrets” of yours. But come on…. Think when you first got into it. Please…. Thanks.

Answer by John K
You can work it out yourself. The ads on my sites (almost) always reflect the information on the page. My problem is getting people to click the ads, but I have to admit I’m not trying too hard. I haven’t even had my sites listed. They’ve only been up for a couple of weeks, but I’ve already made 25 cents!

Question by Internet Explorer: Why are there only 8 answerers in the Top 10 Answerers list of Other – Internet?
There are only 8 see:

http://answers.yahoo.com/dir/stars?sid=2115500139

They should really try to fix this, many people work hard to get to that position. Like me, some people really deserve to be there, instead of those suspended/deleted people.
Some of those people in the top 10 are not even TCs in that category or don’t even have a badge! Like one is a TC in Myspace… this is weird.

Best answer:

Answer by Betwixt & Between
Because there is a glitch. People on that list that have been suspended, or cancelled their Yahoo ID, are still occupying spaces in the top 10, but are not displayed.

If you go to the main “Other – Internet” category, you’ll see “JJ Smith” as the top answerer. Click his avatar, and you’ll see he is one of the “empty voids” taking up one of the positions, as his account no longer exists.

EDIT:

Yes I agree with you. They actually have not even updated the list itself in quite a long time (the numbers of best answers listed are VERY old figures from months ago)

People have been nagging in the suggestions forums, but Yahoo has yet to fix the bug.

Question by Tatiana P: Anybody know a good site that has a top 10 or top 20 list of online casinos for gambling on the internet?

Best answer:

Answer by Anita Johnson
Here is a list that is updated monthly, http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/top-10-online-casinos.html

It’s just one site’s opinions but it looks like a solid list to me. I don’t seen any bad ones on the list although I might put them in a slightly different order myself. I think that Spin Palace is the best of that bunch, but that is just my opinion.

Grocery Gadget® Shopping List Application Now Available for Android

Grocery Gadget Shopping List App for Android

Miami, FL (PRWEB) November 17, 2010

Flixoft, the developers of the high-ranking Grocery Gadget® shopping list application for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch announce the release of a new application version: Grocery Gadget Shopping List is now available for Android mobile devices, and is available for download in the Android Market.

Android users expect the same suite of features that have made Grocery Gadget so popular in the iTunes App Store. Grocery Gadget features designed to help serious shoppers save time and money at home and at the grocery store include:

Shopping List Sync: Grocery Gadget’s sync technology allows users to share lists across unlimited iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Android devices, and an online portal account located at GroceryGadgets.com. Any time a user updates their list, all list changes update across all Apple and Android devices within a group within a matter of seconds.
Free Shopping List Portal: Shoppers can log into Grocery Gadget’s free online portal (GroceryGadgets.com) to quickly create grocery lists, match items to coupons, manage recipes, and import data from other sources. Create a “group” account to automatically sync lists between the portal account and unlimited mobile devices.
Grocery eCoupons: On their device or in the online portal, shoppers can search for relevant eCoupon offers and add them to their supermarket club cards with a single click. Currently, there are 28 participating grocery chains, including Safeway and Kroger.
Unlimited, Editable Grocery Lists: Grocery Gadget offers unlimited, editable shopping lists. With the “quantities” feature, shoppers can set an item quantity to “0” when it is not necessary to buy, and update the quantity to add an item to a shopping list. Shoppers never have to build a list over and over again.
Free Cloud Backup: Shoppers can backup all their data in the cloud instantly and for free by creating a free group account. With a group account, shoppers never have to worry about loosing their list data.
Photos: Users can take photos to accurately describe an item. All photos automatically sync across all household devices so the family shopper never buys the wrong item.
Price Comparisons: Grocery Gadget identifies and compares item prices that a shopper inputs from one store list to the next. Best store prices appear in green, and the more expensive price appears in red.
Import Recipe Ingredients: Users can access the recipe tab within the online portal to import ingredients into their shopping list. The portal can also be used to import ingredients from popular recipe software such as BigOven and HandyCookBook.
Import Data from other apps: Shoppers can utilize the portal to import data from other applications including: CSV, GroceryIQ, Shopper, and Groceries. Additional integrations are currently under development.
Until now, Grocery Gadget has only been available for Apple devices. The Android version release solves a common problem for household members who have wanted to take advantage of the application’s sync feature across multiple device types. In coming months, users can expect the release of Grocery Gadget for additional mobile devices including Blackberry and Nokia. Military Pay App, MilPay, reaches iTunes Top 25 list

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) December 25, 2010

MilitaryLounge.com today announced that their Military Pay calculator for iPhone/iPad/iTouch and Android OS, MilPay, edged into the Top 25 most downloaded Apps in the finance category of iTunes. MilPay was recently updated to reflect 2011 military pay raise and Basic Allowance for Housing, BAH rates. The surge in popularity of MilPay is largely attributed to the DoD’s release of the 2011 Military Pay Charts and BAH rates. The App makes navigating the complex pay tables and BAH rates a simple and interactive experience.

“Our popularity couldn’t have come at a better time – the 2011 pay and BAH rates were just released and we’re excited to provide our users with a way to easily view 2011 pay changes,” said Alison, a representative for the company MilitaryLounge.

MilPay is perfect for Active Duty U.S. military soldiers. The App makes it easy to calculate total salary using the basic pay scale, housing allowance BAH rates, special incentive pay, and other benefits. In three steps it breaks down pay and allows users to plan for military pay increases and salary changes after promotions. The results are displayed in a fun and easy to read format and include a feature to input the number of hours worked in a given week and see a breakdown of the equivalent hourly pay.

MilitaryLounge.com is an independent software company based in Seattle, WA. They have released multiple iPhone Apps for military personnel, including PerDiemCalc and RetirePay. The company was founded in 2008 to provide a collection of mobile and web resources for Military and other DoD personnel. For more information, go to http://www.militarylounge.com

MilPay is available for direct purchase in the Android Market and iTunes Store at: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/milpay/id361850327?mt=8 or by visiting http://www.militarylounge.com/apps/milpay
