StonehengeProductions.com announces the launch of a new distribution channel for independent film makers around the world and simultaneously announces the approval of its first full length, independent film application, Geek Mythology, written and directed by Phil Hwang.

Historically, Indie filmmakers have had difficulty getting distribution for their films.  Stonehenge Production has developed an application system that converts movies into an iPhone App, allowing full length films to be purchased and viewed by millions of iPhone users.

“We heard the frustration from film makers not being able to get distribution and saw iTunes App Store as the perfect solution.” Said Mark Smillie, Founder of StonehengeProductions.com. “iPhone Apps provide Indie film makers the perfect distribution channel for their films, while delivering Indie fans better access to a broader range of movies. Now, film makers who want to get broad distribution can work with Stonehenge Productions to build an app of their movie.”

Geek Mythology is a feature length comedy about a lonely guy who acquires a mystical statue that makes him irresistible to women but runs into trouble when his best friend’s girlfriend falls for him.

Geek Mythology is available on the iTunes App Store for $ 4.99, or through www.stonehengeproductions.com

For more information about getting your film on the iTunes App Store contact  info@stonehengeproductions.

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) May 2, 2008

“Independent artists now have an automated marketing strategy to get their music known on iTunes,” says MusicianPromote.com founder and President Fred Demming. “Our new service will compliment many of the online digital music distribution channels available to artists today.”

The iTunes promotion service is a non exclusive and affordable way for artists to take control of their music career, elevate sales and attract new fans. The method of the service is simple, yet time consuming to create. But for a low cost flat fee, multi customized playlists featuring the artist’s songs are published into the iTunes music store.

One unique aspect of the service includes the “Share Rating System,” where contributing artists support other artists’ music playlists on iTunes.

Marketing Director Matt Eassly explains, “The immediate benefit to musicians is that we put our marketing expertise into creating playlists that will attract new listeners of the artist music”.

As for now, the service publishes to the US iTunes store with plans of covering global stores soon. Artists will be able to extend their reach on iTunes with various promotion plans starting at $ 47.

About MusicianPromote:

Founded in 2005 by President Fred Demming on the idea that independent musicians needed an easier and effective way to connect with music resources, promoters and fans on the Internet, without giving up what they need to focus on: Music! In 2006 MusicianPromote was launched.

Since then, MusicianPromote has grown with over 2,000 artists and music resources using the service. The main product of the company is an FPK™ (Free Press Kit), which is a graphic web interface of a physical press kit. The FPK™ is submitted to opt-in Internet music websites, promoters, venues, media outlets and more. Each music resource can review music and contact artist in a quick and easy to use control panel.
