Beware: First they came for the Pirate Bay, and I did not speak out; Because I was not a torrentor. Then they came for Reditt, and I did not speak out; Because I used Twitter. Then they came for Google, and I did not speak out; Because I use Bing. Then they came for me; and there was no one left to speak for me. On January 24th, the senate will vote on sopa / pipa. This bill will give the United States government the ability to limit what you are able to access on the internet. They say it is to stop piracy by allowing the government the authority to shut down access to these sites. However, the bill does not limit what sites the government can shut down. There is a new bill that was recently passed, that gives the government the ability to deem united states citizens low level terrorists and holding them in jail for an indefinite amount of time without due process. The ability to disable access to information that they deem inappropriate limits our right to free speech and the ability to hold her citizens without due process is against the 4th and 14th amendment. If this passes, we will no longer be the land of the free, but the land of the oppressed. Contact your senate and congressional representatives immediately and demand that this bill be thrown out. If it is not, action will be taken. We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive censorship. We do not forget the denial of our free rights as human beings. To the United States government, you should’ve expected us.
