The TasteTimer series of apps now require a minimum OS of iOS 4. Version 2 of the TasteTimer series take advantage of a new feature in iOS 4 called Local Notifications. The user will now hear and see an alert when the timer has finished, even if TasteTimer is no longer running. This was not possible with earlier versions of the iPhone OS.

This new feature will work on any iPhone or iPod touch that uses iOS 4, including the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 2nd generation (late 2008), and iPod touch 3rd generation (late 2009). Local Notifications are not really a multitasking feature, so TasteTimer will not use battery or memory resources while in the background.

The TasteTimer series of Apps has also been enhanced to support the new iPhone 4 Retina display. All TasteTimer 2 icons and other graphics look crisp and sharp! Conversions for Cooking and Substitutions also have Retina display enhancements.

?I love the new iOS 4 and iPhone 4 features?, said Duane Fahey, co-founder of Gormaya, LLC. ?Our TasteTimer 2 series of apps are now much more useful.?

TasteTimer Prime 2, with over 800 recipes, is now available for $ 2.99 in the U.S. and is priced accordingly in other regions. TasteTimer Tea, TasteTimer Coffee, TasteTimer Eggs, and TasteTimer Grill are available for 99
