Question by Dirk von Pelvis: In google, how can I make sure the “item” I search for doesn’t come up again when I type in something else…
…starting with that letter?
For example, one day I look up “apple”, the next day I look up “antidote”…….and apple appears in the text box. How do I eliminate that?

It’s a search box saving thing in your web browser. Find the Properties part of your browser and there should be something there about a form saver.

Question by : How do I remove a virus McAfee doesn’t detect?
I have McAfee. Since yesterday, four pop-ups appear at the same time: a window that looks like the standard “File Download” dialog in Firefox (but slightly different). It’s asking “Do you want to save or open this file?” Buttons: Open Save Cancel. It actually has my windows 7 aero theme with transparency in the title bar so it’s not a pre-rendered copy. I think Windows is genuinely asking to open or save the file because it actually tells me the address of the PNG. They’re located in C:/Users/[User_Name]/AppData/Local/Temp, and it refers to one of four PNG files with like 8 random characters as its name. It’s “Type” is “PhotoViewer.FileAssoc.png”. Even when I delete them from temp, 20 minutes later, four new 1kb PNGs are created and I am asked whether to save or open them. I’ve been using ALT-F4 to close the pop-ups so I don’t click anything inside. While the first time it happened, I was in Firefox, this is still occuring even with Firefox closed, even after restarting my computer and never having started Firefox. I also disconnected that computer from the internet. I looked at my task manager, but can’t make any sense of the dozens of processes running, except having 8 “rundll32.exe”s looks suspicious and I believe a 9th was created last time it popped up (the last time it popped up, it was still 9). I ran a full virus scan with McAfee but it detected nothing. I haven’t updated McAfee yet because I don’t want to plug into the internet: I’m worried about the virus!

Does anyone recognize this virus or know what to do about it? How risky is it to connect to the internet to update? Does anyone know if McAfee would detect this one once it’s updated? (i.e. is it a new virus out this week?)

Also, is it safe to move files off the computer with either a USB flash drive or an external hard drive? I’ve also been having a problem with windows explorer listing like four folders in the left pane and having the magnifying glass search anim run forever, and either the files never show up in the main pane, or the names appear but the icons are missing or generic. Typically it never shows up in “My Computer” but if you know the address of any other folder, the files will show up without icons. That problem is also occuring on a computer that has never been connected to the internet, but has received files from that computer via a USB flash drive (that wasn’t always properly ejected). It only started occuring on the second computer after the flash drive was plugged in. Are these separate or correlated issues?

THANKS!!!

Singapore (PRWEB) May 10, 2011

Chun Jia from AwesomeMuMu.com first heard about the Tree of Life from a very successful business woman who attributes much of her success to the tree just outside her bungalow.

This woman believes that it has improved her life, relationships and business and even helped deepen her spirituality. As she talks to her tree every day, she has come to see it as a very tangible version of the mystical Tree of Life that, for centuries, has been a theme in world theologies, mythologies and philosophies.

Inspired by this concept, Awesome MuMu iPhone and iPad app was created so that everyone, both adults and kids alike, can pick treasures from the sky and ‘grow’ their own Tree of Life, while experiencing the mystical wonder of watching new life come out of it.

“Everyday I would make and ‘grow’ a Tree of Life, either in pencil drawings or sketches in my sketch book,” says Chun. “Having an iphone app makes it even easier for me to create my own Tree of Life everyday and to easily share with my friends. If you can make, visualize and ‘grow’ your Tree of Life every day for the next 60 days, you will soon see all the goodness coming into your Life. And this is an awesome Tree that does not need watering or sunlight!”

Inside the game app, every night, the giant mystical creature, MuMu, and her little friend with golden hair sit on top of a house, looking up towards the sky filled with treasures and jewels.

MuMu owns a magical wand and grabs colorful gems in the sky for the little girl. Each of the treasures represents a life gift that earns players corresponding points. The collection of treasures is hung on the mystical Tree of Life the more there are on the tree, the more luck it will bring.

With some twists and turns, this brand new iPhone game for kids and iPad game for family promises to keep the adventure going.

Instead of cabbage and carrots, the game app allows one to reap gems that bring good fortune and success. There’s a certain calmness and serenity to the endeavor of gathering treasures to keep a Tree of Life rich and abundant. It’s a welcome change from all the busyness one get involved in opening yet another virtual cafe.

The app has a total of 3 levels. The Tree of Life can be unlocked at Level 2 and Level 3. Players can post their scores to the leader board on OpenFeint for keeping track of their own scores or challenge their friends.

The Tree of Life can also be posted on Facebook and Twitter so that anyone can see the progress of the Tree of Life as it gets filled with treasures.

‘Awesome MuMu’ works for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. User Interface Languages: English. Release languages include: English. Support and Feedback for App: http://www.AwesomeMuMu.com Apple Store Link: http://itunes.apple.com/sg/app/awesome-mumu-picking-treasures/id428211621?mt=8

Question by Shinchon: Why doesn’t Google Android ever start up on my emulator?
I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz computer with 4 gigabytes of RAM and Windows Vista, and I’m running Eclipse 3.6, ADT, and the Android SDK in an attempt to develop some sort of Google Android app.

I type in the Hello, Android program and try to run it. Then this is what happens:
- The emulated phone displays “ANDROID” for a few seconds.
- Then it gets to the metallic-looking Android logo.
- It never gets past the metallic-looking Android logo, even if I leave the emulator on for hours.

What’s going on? I can’t write any apps if it won’t even boot into Android…

What’s the problem?

I don’t know the answer; but, I had the same problem with a Nokia SDK. I would reboot the computer and start the SDK emulator first before deploying a program – then it would work thereafter.

Question by chaseerry: Why Doesn’t Google Focus on One Android Phone, Instead of Many?
Why doesn’t Google focus on one “Android” phone, sort of like Apple putting all of their efforts into one focus point? They are going the route of Microsoft and trying all sorts of device makers. It irritates me.

What are your thoughts?

What are you talking about? Apple has the iPhone (several kinds), iPod (several kinds), all of their desktop computers, all of their laptop computers, etc. The only thing they don’t have is a video game console, and I’m sure if they made one, it would cost 3x as much as a PS3. That’s just how Apple rolls.

People want variety. Sometimes a person wants the basic model, sometimes a person wants something with all the bells and whistles.

Question by Sdfsf S: How do I work with microsoft word so that one header doesn’t affect the others?
I’m trying to edit the header of page 3 individually on microsoft word, but it affects all the other headers from page 1 and 2, is it possible disable that?

Best answer:

Answer by Krystyne
In order to have different headers or footers, you have to insert section breaks, and within each section the header/footer can be different.

So since you want a different header on page 3, at the bottom of the text page page 2, you’ll need to insert a Section Break.

Click Insert on the menu bar and choose Break.
Under Section Break Types choose Next Page.

Now click into the header on page 3. On the border of the header, it will probably show “same as previous”. You want to turn this off because you don’t want the header to be the same as in the previous section.

So on the Header and Footer toolbar, click the “link to previous” button to turn it off. It should not longer display “same as previous” on the header border.

Now you can change the header on page 3.
