Cloud Content Management provider Box.net today announced it is available as an integrated Google Apps™ service on the Google Apps Marketplace™, Google’s recently launched online storefront for Google Apps products and services. Google Apps customers can now access and share their Box.net content when logged into Google Apps, and Box.net customers can use Google Apps products within Box.net.

Together, Box.net and Google Apps provide businesses with a complete enterprise package: a Cloud Content Management platform combined with communication and collaboration services. Businesses can manage their ongoing project files, including product collateral, overview videos, various artwork and Google Docs™, in a shared Box folder. From there, users can streamline workflow with Box’s versioning, tasks, and commenting features as well as leverage Google Docs to collaborate on their files. Finished work can then be published on a company-wide Google Site™. Box.net also provides the advanced administration and reporting tools expected of a content management system, including password management down to the file level, six levels of access permissions, and reports on user and file activity.

Additionally, when in Box.net, users can create a new Google Document or Spreadsheet, as well as select a file or a folder of files to send with Gmail, schedule a meeting and link to a specific file or folder with Google Calendar™, or publish to Google Sites. Additional, deeper points of integration between Box.net and Google Apps can be expected in the near future.
