First of all, do you even know what the “TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES” are even for? Your browser needs temporary internet space to perform quite a few basic things..

And besides, its just 8mb… its not going to hurt anything since your hard drive probably has 10′s of thousands of megabytes.. , if your that desperate for space get a new hard drive.

Question by cyberblade3001: Is there anyway to run VMWare without installing it on top of a base OS?
I’d like to be able to run multiple virtual machines without first having to load a base OS that eats up my machine’s resources. Is my best option to just install it on top of a very basic Linux kernel or can I configure it to be it’s own OS. Or is there some other product I should be looking at.
Note: I know that VMWare ESX server runs on “bare metal” as they say-but I’m looking for a free alternative.

I don’t think that VMWare has it’s own kernel coz if it does… why need the installation ??

so no I don’t think it can run on it’s own, and for best results: yes, run it on linux
