Question by The Daily Elitist: Has the GOP intentionally destroy the US physical economy to advance their political ends?
It seems increasingly apparent to me that, beginning with Nixon and growing far worse during the Reagan administration, there was a concerted effort to gut America’s industrial base and replace it with a massive debt bubble. Of course, while Clinton did some good, Bush (in concert with Greenspan) really ratcheted up the pace of capital flight through war and relentless money-printing.

The reason for doing this was to break the labor movement, which posed the biggest threat to GOP dominance at the time. Honestly, I find it very difficult to believe that the “supply side,” or “get as much money as we can into the banks so that they can loan it out at interest to workers and consumers” policies and the GOP’s open contempt for organized labor wasn’t at least a consideration. Perhaps they did not realize the full implications of their deeds, but I’m not inclined to grant them the benefit of the doubt. In any case, it was a complete outrage – had they done this during wartime like WWII, they would have been hung from the highest tree for treason and sabotage of the war effort, as well they should have been.

No nation can survive on speculation; real wealth only comes from three things: agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. A “service economy” might be fine for small countries and markets, but when the world’s largest economy is largely stripped of its physical production apparatus, something is seriously wrong. Now, of course this is due to China’s mercantilistic exchange regime, but who urged them to go that route? That would be the red, white, and blue – and we did the same thing with Japan. This development is known as “ChiMerica.”

What do you think? Have I been staring at spreadsheets of economic data for too long, or do you agree?

Best answer:

Answer by GOP – Greedy Old Perverts
It’s called “starve the beast”, and has been practiced by Republicans for the past 28 years.

Essentially, they want America to default on it’s loans. Once that happens, all heck breaks loose and everything collapses. But that’s just the means to their end; which is to force us to end all “socialist” programs. Like unemployment and disability insurance, social security, the SEC, EPA, FDIC and OSHA, as well as education. – all part of the “new deal” they want to end permanently.

Question by Michael: why does medical science advance so slow?
i mean technology such as the internet has advanced super fast, it took around a decade to make the internet really good. however, medical science is so slow. i mean there is always these articles in science magazines that will say “this has shown evidence of killing cancer in the lab” or “this novel technique can….”, but year after year it is the same ole same ole in the hospitals . people receive chemo for cancer and that is exactly what they received 20 years ago. will medical science ever catch up to the rest of the 21st century?

Best answer:

Answer by TechCaveman
Test subjects. Sadly, the greatest medical advances, even if nobody wants to think about, were in oppressive times (genocide, etc).

It’s pretty much like wanting to make an omelette’s without breaking some eggs.

Touchy subject, but before a new medical compound can be tried on humans, it has to go through years of animal testing.

Medical science is advancing, but at slower pace.

What do you think? Answer below!
