This particular hp is a nice little consumer-end (home use only) machine, but it is part of the hp consumer line as in non-business machine. It’s a known fact that hp puts more quality and durability in their business line of notebooks. Stay clear of their pavillion line unless you don’t mind owning a machine that is destined to be problematic during its life. The Lenovo 3000 Y410 line is similar with a faster chip (T5450) and more durable all round. This particular lenovo has both a loud hard drive and loud DVD RW, but those two “con’s” aside, you’re getting a much better notebook in the long run with the Lenovo than with the HP.
By the way, they should have put a much better vid card inside this hp. It truly is a mismatch for the rest of the system not to mention terrible for gaming, video editing and the like, but should be ok for basic multitasking.
Also for the next few weeks you’ll find it difficult to find info on this newer hp pavillion 2000 series machine. Hold off on your purchase if you can. Otherwise go for it if you know this is truly what you want and feel confidently informed.

happy computing

by comparing this two
hp is better because core i3 is advanced processor than core 2 duo and in acer only graphics accelerator only available but in hp there is intel hd 1gb graphics memory
finally hp is rough tough so you can use it at any condition
don’t worry about seeing only 2 usb ports in hp there are many company made addition usb devices you just insert it and you can connect many usb device as hp use 64bit so feel free and joy to use any software.
