Question by Mrs.Cullen: What are some ways I can protect my computer from the Conficker worm?
I heard about that computer worm that is infecting all of these computers. I want to know some precautions I can take to make sure that I don’t get infected?

Well if u ahvent windows updated and anti-virus updated, LOL UR DONE FOR , and if u arent ifnected, update thigns liek you’ve never updated before, if you are, go to download.com and do the tutorial to remove it.

There is no need to worry. At any given time there are thousands of viruses floating the Internet. All you need to do is ensure that your Windows is updating as well as your antivirus software. And make sure that both are set to automatic updates so you don’t forget. The only reason people are worried is because this malware is more aggressive and harder to remove than most of the other ones.

Set Windows Updates to Automatic and keep your anti-virus up-to-date, both very easy. There is more you can do but it’s not quite so easy and if you keep Windows and your AV up-to-date that should be enough. More info here:

Conficker has got lots of publicity and got lots of people worried but there are many more threats, some far more dangerous. It’s *essential* you keep ALL your software up-to-date with the latest security fixes, e.g. the Vundo trojan spreads via old, insecure versions of Java, see http://vundofix.atribune.org/

what i did was all my internet security updates. do norton/virus scans, and Microsoft updates for the recent things for your computer. hope i helped
