Question by Jason B: Attempting to install skyrim on ASUS G73JH – completely freezes computer?
Just as it gets to the Eula (radio button “i agree/don’t agree” to terms), it completely freezes the notebook and i have to restart by holding down the power button (*CTRL + ALT+ DELETE does not unlock it!). I have Windows 7 64 bit with a Matshita BD-CMB UJ141AS dvd/blu-ray player. It’s done this since i bought the notebook. However, i have gotten around the problem by “tricking” the computer into playing something on the DVD (such as a movie file), thus spinning up the player, then hitting “install”. I have tried this with Skyrim…unfortunately this does not work, it freezes no matter what i do.
i am Desperate! I want to play Skyrim so bad! Anyone have any ideas why it is doing this?

I think I found your problem.

Are you sure the disc is not damaged nor the files are corrupted?
EDIT: No Red, the Asus G73JH is a monster gaming laptop. It will be able to handle games even at high settings.
skyrim is not a notebook game, build a gaming desktop and you can play it. Even if you could play it on that, it would be really choppy and would make you sad.
