I’m guessing a few of you saw my previous Lion installer in VMware, which used a bootable .vmdk file, however now it’s pretty easy to install the retail version of Lion using an .iso file, which makes it a lot easier. Just go ahead and follow the video. Mac OS X Lion VMware Files: bit.ly Mac OS X Lion Image File: [Unsure if it should be provided yet, use Google]

When it reboots and shows me an installing screen and just hangs. Nothing else happens. How can I fix this?
Will this work if i just burn it to a DVD ?
Ok, Zack I followed all your steps to the tee. However I get as far as the downloading additional components screen, after you erase/format the drive and rename to Macintosh HD. Then it reboots and shows me an installing screen and just hangs. Nothing else happens. How can I fix this?
Transcribe audio and go to 1:44 LOL
how do you change the VMware image file to DMG file?
Still having issues. Got the unlock to work on Workstation (you were right about not working with player).
OSX boots the install disk, does its pre-install thing, reboots, then just sits on the “Installing” screen. Just the animated stripes on the progress bar. vmkd size doesn’t increate. Stays at about 3GB. If I reboot the VM, it will then tell me install has failed. It also royaly screws somethng up, too as even if I format the vmdk it won’t work I have to start all over, which doessame
@tommisba You need to run CMD as administrator. Go to start menu, find accessories folder, find Command propt, right click and say “Run as Administrator”

@ZackehhSoul yes i’m on intel….intel(r) celeron.. Well the torrnet is about 85 % done. Once I finish I will watch your conversion tutorial.
@Robbsaber02 Are you on Intel? If so then yeah it should work… AMD maybe not… But yeah, I can bypass the check for hardware virtualization, so it just runs. It’ll be up soon.
@ZackehhSoul Well I am running the same OS as you windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. & what do you mean you can bypass? Can I still do this ?
@KTechish Which and which error?
the patch refuses to work for me
@ZackehhSoul AMD Athlon 2 X2 245?
@Robbsaber02 I can bypass that if needed.
@tatimh Right click the .app and click show package contents then go to the shared folder and get the InstallBSD.dmg
@rollercoaster524 As I said, it will work on some AMD, but I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you
this worked on amd?

@James5294 System: windows 7 SP1, VMWare Workstation, Core 2 Quad 6600 6 GB RAM VMWare files and ISO on its own HD.
HELP! i keep getting to “About a minute remaining” and receive an error message.. “Can’t download the additional components needed to install Mac OS X.” Tried it from image and also burnt it to disc and still received it.. Any ideas?
On your other tutorial, when I tried to use the Mac Lion VMWare file it said that the Mac is not compatible with the virtualization. Now, my question is if I use the iso version instead will it work? Also my bios doesnt have the option to enable or disable ‘virtualization’. Can I still do this ?
Is this only Intel compatible? Because I want to try this running an AMD phenom processor. Not sure if it’d work though.
@stewie7669 I’m running 64-bit Win7 with Workstation and it’s fine, everything but the Player was done by me + friends as a group. They are the same as Snow Leopard, yes.
