Question by Alexa: How can I get rid of things on my computer I don’t need?
I need, obviously, everything that makes the computer work, like all the system files, etc. I want to keep Firefox, AIM messaging, Avast, AVG, Limewire, Microsoft Word, Paint Shop Pro, iTunes, and my music files which are located in C:\Documents and Settings\*User Name*\Shared; keep in mind, these files are not actually shared in a P2P network, just in that file.
My computer used to run very fast, but suddenly started going slow. I can’t even watch videos on Youtube! This is killing me, and it makes me not want to use my laptop anymore. It is an Acer Aspire, and I’ve had it for about three years.
Is there a way to go about this by myself? I know enough about computers, but I would need a walkthrough…. Or would it just be easier to take it to a computer professional? The only problem with the latter option is that I have no money.
Used defrag, disk cleanup, and add/removed programs and removed everything I could without compromising what I need. Anything else I can do?

This tutorial will be looking at how to insert landscape page numbers in Microsoft Word. The guidelines followed are the ones put forth by the Mississippi State University Graduate Council. When a table or figure requires horizontal or landscape placement, the page number must be placed at the bottom center as though the page is in portrait orientation. This tutorial will demonstrate using section breaks to isolate the landscape pages, unlinking the sections, and customizing one of the default page number options in Word.

Bellingham, WA (PRWEB) April 19, 2007 -

Gamespeek is holding a promotional contest asking gamers why they pick up their controllers. Hosts Aaron Apple, Lauren Miller and Chris Palmer will randomly reward one person who responds to the question on their forum, “Why do you play video games?” The winner will receive a copy of any one video game of their choice for Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Sony PSP or XBox 360.

“We are having the contest on our forum because it is the best place to share ideas, discuss the industry and have debates,” Apple said. “I’m sure this contest will spark some lively discussion among our current members and bring in some new members to participate as well.”

The hosts of Gamespeek will draw the name of the winner during a future episode of the show. The winner will be notified via email and they will be able to select the game. Contestants simply need to register for the forum and reply to the contest thread at the top of the page.

“We’ve held a few contests before with a lot of success,” Miller said. “We gave away a ton of E3 swag to three different listeners in May and a free game when we had a contest to rename our podcast.”

Question by Guardian_Angel_2180: I got rid of Antivirus XP 2008, but…?
….I guess I didn’t get rid of everything. I used Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware which detected and got rid of the actual Antivirus XP 2008 issues like the desktop display and the license crap… But I guess another trojan agent hitched a ride? Got left behind? I dunno….

Issues: Those drop down type ads that are so common on websites now show up even when no IE windows are open. The voice ads “You’ve just been selected to win a……” thankfully stopped showing up with or stopped showing up as frequently…. I keep hearing clicking like I’ve clicked on something even when I’m not touching the mouse or keyboard.

When I ran the Anti Malware thing again, it shows me 76unDqbp.exe (or exe.a_a) as a trojan agent.. I remove it and still it appears again shortly after I restart. I tried endng the process and it ended the “pop ups”, so I think that’s what’s causing it.. I don’t know how to get rid of it for good though.

I’d really love to solve this without wiping the hard drive as that requires taking it in to my brother who has no time for me….
