When I go to My Pictures, there are a group of individual images there. There are also some file folders with zippers. How do I get the individual images out of these folders and into the rest of the My Pictures images?

First you will need to unzip those folders with zippers.The easiist way is to Use WinZip and install it

After that you can double click on those zipper folders and extract them all by clicking the ‘Extract Button” and choose where you want the files to go.

The zip files only mean that the pictures were compressed to save space.

Alright so the mac OS X dvd player only lets you change your region settings five times. I have used up those five times and i can’t find a way around it, though i know there must be one.

I would really appreciate it if someone knew how to reset the dvd player.

Question by Jojo: How can I stop hidden files from showing on startup on Mac OS X?
I was trying to figure out how to show hidden files one day and I must have done something wrong because now they show up everytime I shut down and startup my laptop again. I know how to hide the files by running an Automator Application, but I have to do this everytime I turn my laptop back on. Why won’t it hide them permanently? How can I stop them from showing everyime? I don’t want to see these hidden files anymore. Please help.
Could my Sims 3 game have anything to do with this? It was the reason I was messing around with it in the first place.

I’d suggest going to…

and get the Secrets PrefPane. It will install and show up as “Secrets” in System Preferences after you install it.

There will be tons of options in there, so don’t change something unless you know what it does, but it has the ability to permanently cause show or hide files to show up.

If it still happens after you change it that way, you have some type of start up script or program running thats automatically make them visible on every run.

Something is not right with your Vista installation. If you have a legitimate license, contact Microsoft and see if they can clear that issue up with you.
If you have a cracked version, you got caught, probably due to some update you downloaded that checks against the latest cracks….

It could be a false alert, and if so, Microsoft should be able to clear it up for you…

I often get problems when I try to connect to my own wireless network with WEP security.

The problem is either that I only have limited connectivity, local only connection, or it is just ‘identifying’.

If this is too complicated to solve on Y!A, I’ll be happy to communicate via email.
It says the signal is excellent. I can’t think of anything that would interfere with the signal.

There is authentication issue between the router and your computer. The cause could be:
1. Low signal strength – causing a garbled signal
2. Interference due to other routers in the area (an issue in condos and apartments)
3. The firmware in the router does not like the way the Vista driver wants to work.

I don’t see an easy fix. You will have to eliminate possibilities one at a time then fix the problem
